ACO has been organized as an informal scientific network with “bottom-up”, “light” and “flexible” as keywords. A board has been created in order to be of service for its members, and to ensure the continuity of ACO and its activities. The board aims to reflect the Dutch scientific institutions that have built a long-term cooperative relationship with China. The current board exists of (in alphabetic order):

In addition to these board members, the ACO board is advised and supported by representatives of the VSNU and the Dutch Embassy in Beijing. The current advisors of the board are:

  • Drs. Charlotte van Hees (Staff member international affairs, VSNU)
  • Drs. David Pho (Scientific Attaché, Dutch Embassy Beijing)

ACO furthermore has a secretariat for administrative support, which maintains i.a. mailing lists, agendas and minutes.
