A regional training center strives for more internships in China. A vocational school wants teachers to gain international experience. Another regional training center sets the goal of increasing incoming students’ mobility. The Sino-Dutch Shadowing Program, which helps these organizations on the way, will be over soon.

Sustainability standards seminar organized at the embassy

On Wednesday 2 November, the economic department at the Netherlands Embassy organized a sustainability standards seminar.

The topic of the seminar was “The role of sustainability standards in responsible mining supply chain management and market access” and it was organized together with the CCCMC (branch organization of Chinese mineral resources), Iseal (global leader in defining and communicating sustainability standards, with members like Fairtrade, Better Coton Initiative, Sustainable Palmoil, UTZ, Rainforest Alliance) and the Swedish CSR center.

Visit of State Secretary Van Rijn to China

State Secretary Van Rijn started his visit to China on October 31 with a network reception at the residence in Beijing. During the network reception, he also witnessed the signing of several Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) between businesses and research institutes.

Nursing homes, healthcare and support for the elderly at home focus point in new cooperation between the Netherlands and China

State Secretary Mr. Martin van Rijn (Health, Welfare and Sport), and his Chinese colleague, Vice-Minister Ms. Gao Xiaobing (Civil Affairs), have signed a 3-year agreement to collaborate in the field of elderly care.
